Description
The AMF Series Electromagnetic Flow Meter is designed for accurate volumetric flow measurement of electrically conductive liquids and slurries flowing through closed pipelines. It can be used for water, wastewater, slurry, pulp, slag, and various conductive liquids in industrial and municipal environments.
With optional wireless communication technologies, the meter can transmit measurement data remotely, making it suitable for distributed water networks, remote pumping stations, irrigation systems, wastewater facilities, and other locations where conventional wired monitoring is inconvenient.

Type: Variable Area Water Flowmeters
The AMF series is suitable for liquids with sufficient electrical conductivity, including clean water, tap water, sewage, wastewater, pulp, slurry, and other process fluids. It has no mechanical moving components inside the measuring tube, helping maintain stable operation while reducing mechanical wear.
Wireless Communication and Remote Monitoring
For installations where frequent manual meter reading or signal cabling is impractical, the wireless communication configuration provides a convenient alternative. Depending on the project requirements, communication can be configured with 4G, Cat-M, NB-IoT, or LoRa technology.
Measured flow information can be transferred to a remote monitoring system or cloud-based platform for centralized data access. Operators can review flow rates, accumulated consumption, and equipment status without having to visit every measurement point.
Battery-powered configurations are also available for selected remote installations. Their low-power design can support long-term operation in locations where access to mains power is limited.
Measurement and Diagnostic Functions
The electromagnetic flow meter is designed for continuous flow monitoring while providing useful operating information for system management.
The meter can achieve an accuracy of up to ±0.5% of reading, depending on the specific configuration and operating conditions. Because there are no moving parts in the flow path, the meter does not introduce the mechanical wear associated with traditional mechanical flow meters.
Optional monitoring and diagnostic functions can include:
-
Empty-pipe detection
-
Electrode fault monitoring
-
Communication or data transmission alarms
-
Flow data recording
-
Remote data transmission
-
Integration with monitoring and SCADA systems
For installations exposed to flooding or underground conditions, an IP68 submersible configuration can be selected where applicable.

Typical Applications
The AMF electromagnetic flow meter can be integrated into a wide range of fluid measurement and remote monitoring projects.
Municipal Water Networks
Monitor water distribution lines and collect flow information from multiple remote measurement points without relying entirely on manual meter reading.
Wastewater and Sewage Systems
Measure conductive wastewater and sewage while transmitting operating data from treatment plants, pumping stations, and other difficult-to-access locations.
Agricultural Irrigation
Track water consumption across large irrigation networks and remotely collect measurement data from geographically dispersed fields.
Chemical and Mining Processes
Suitable for conductive process liquids and slurries used in chemical processing, mineral processing, and related industrial systems, subject to media compatibility.
HVAC and Cooling Water Systems
Measure circulating water in air-conditioning, cooling, and energy-management systems and provide flow data for system monitoring and efficiency analysis.
Smart Water Management
Wireless communication allows multiple flow meters to provide centralized measurement data, supporting digital management of distributed water infrastructure.

Suitable for Remote Flow Measurement Projects
The AMF Series combines electromagnetic flow measurement with optional wireless data communication to address the requirements of modern remote monitoring systems. Its configurable communication options, multiple output interfaces, low-maintenance measuring structure, and optional submersible protection make it suitable for both new installations and replacement projects.
For applications such as tap water distribution, sewage measurement, irrigation, industrial process monitoring, and remote water management, the AMF series provides a practical way to collect and transmit flow information from field measurement points.
